Maturation and Cask Influence
This 2013 vintage matured in a carefully selected mix of casks. Seventy-five percent rested in first-fill ex-American whiskey casks. The remaining twenty-five percent matured in French ex-wine casks that previously held Ribera del Duero, Syrah and Pauillac wines. This thoughtful combination enhances depth while preserving the barley-forward style.
Bottled at 50% ABV, this whisky delivers intensity without overpowering the palate. Moreover, it is non-chill filtered, which protects its natural oils and texture.
