Lightly Peated Perfection
In a departure from the norm, Glenfiddich Vintage Cask boasts a touch of peatiness, a rarity in our collection. The European oak casks infuse a vibrant toffee apple character, while the American oak imparts layers of smoky embers and velvety vanilla smoothness. The distinctive Cask Collection Solera vat weaves these complex flavors together, adding richness and depth, resulting in a characterful and lingering whisky with a delicate yet discernible peaty note.
Tasting Notes: A Symphony of Flavors
COLOUR: Golden barley.
NOSE: Freshly cut straw and bonfire smoke evoke an autumn evening, with leafy, floral notes to intrigue and delight.
TASTE: A burst of sweetness with vanilla, crème brûlée, and citrus, followed by a rush of smoke, burning embers, and meadow flowers.
FINISH: Long-lasting floral and smoky notes.
A Homage to Tradition
Glenfiddich Vintage Cask pays homage to the distillery’s past when peat was a common element in whisky production. With around 25ppm phenol in the new distillate, echoing the historic malting process, the phenol reduces to approximately 15ppm as the liquid matures, showcasing a tribute to tradition.

Decades of expertise define our coopers, whose dedication ensures that only the highest quality wood enhances our precious single malt. With our on-site cooperage, we secure the best wood, imparting extra layers of richness to complement the velvety, peaty flavors found in our Vintage Cask.
Pioneering the Solera Process
Our fifth Malt Master, David Stewart, pioneered the Solera process inspired by Spanish sherry-making regions. Hand-chosen individual casks are married in a specially constructed Solera Vat, ensuring ultimate consistency by allowing complex flavors to meld, mellow, and create a single malt masterpiece.
