Reserva de la Familia is not just a cava; it is our most emotional cuvée. This iconic wine is ideal for toasting at gatherings filled with food, drink, and long conversations. It stands as a distinguished representative among gran reservas, highlighting our excellence in Brut Nature cavas. Produced from a blend of Penedès white wine grapes, it embodies the essence of our winery, from vineyard to glass.
Tasting Notes
Savor the bright, golden hue reminiscent of a Mediterranean sunset. Reserva de la Familia is characterized by its tiny, persistent bubbles. The aroma features ripe white fruits such as apples and Ercolina pears, along with citric notes and hints of toasted bread. On the palate, it is noble and ample, with a pleasant freshness. The bubbles provide a delightful texture, and the finish is rich with ripe fruit flavors.
Perfect Pairings
Juvé & Camps Reserva de la Familia pairs exquisitely with acorn-fed Iberian hams. It also complements dishes like vichyssoise with toasted almonds, suckling pig with apple purée, or Camembert tart with walnuts. Its versatility makes it an excellent choice for a variety of gourmet experiences.
The Origin
Our Reserva de la Familia is made from Xarel·lo, Macabeo, and Parellada grapes, sourced from the Espiells, Can Massana, and La Cuscona estates. Aged for over 36 months, this wine offers pleasant intensity and elegance. Its creamy texture and full fruit flavor make it a cherished choice for celebrations and shared moments.
The 2018 Vintage
The 2018 harvest was remarkable due to a rainy spring that benefited our Xarel·lo and Macabeo vineyards. This increase in water supply led to a higher grape yield, resulting in fruit of exceptional quality. The absence of significant mildew issues ensured a bountiful and optimistic harvest.
